Impressionist-Inspired Clay Relief Sculpture

Students were asked to find two reference images of Impressionist paintings that they liked. Then combine those images into a new composition. Students learned subtractive carving techniques and additive techniques in clay. Once fired, students used acrylic paint to add color to their reliefs.
